Gloster
Gloster works with many world-renowned designers to create timeless outdoor furniture. Gloster’s roots can be traced back to West Africa in 1960 when a band of passionate entrepreneurs and furniture makers took the first steps on a long journey. By the late 1980s, increased demand and access to plantation-grown teak led them to move the factory to Indonesia. The hardwood benchmark for fine outdoor furniture for over 700 years, with a beautiful glossy sheen or soft natural finish, each piece of teak is sourced from carefully managed plantations and thoroughly inspected to ensure quality lasts. The furniture is not the result of random mass production – human hands have created every rounded corner and every joint, and the quality is a result of the knowledge and skills of the factory employees’ . A Gloster teak tree has a lifecycle of at least 50 years – and the wood can always be traced back to its origin.
