Bitossi Ceramiche is a historic Italian name in contemporary ceramics, rooted in the rich ceramic tradition of Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany. Founded by Guido Bitossi in 1921, the company combines generations of artisanal knowledge with a continuous commitment to design and innovation. A defining chapter in Bitossi’s history began in the 1950s under the artistic direction of Aldo Londi, followed by the influential collaboration with Ettore Sottsass, which began in 1955. Their work helped establish Bitossi as an important reference in Italian ceramic and mid-century design. Today, Bitossi continues to create handcrafted ceramics in its historic workshops in Montelupo Fiorentino, bringing together traditional craftsmanship, material research and contemporary design through collaborations with internationally recognized designers.
