Goom, the new modular sofa designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for MDF Italia, is an authentic eulogy to the force of gravity, previewed at Salone del Mobile 2025. Conceived as a sculptural solid in which to sink with gusto, Goom combines geometric rigor and enveloping comfort, the result of in-depth research into materials and maximum softness. Its sharp, decisive lines result in a clean, contemporary aesthetic that invites relaxation. An iconic detail lies in the ends of the cushions, deliberately emphasized to create an elegant contrast between visual weight and lightness, suggesting a refined hanging effect. Goom is more than just a sofa: it is a modular system composed of multiple elements-single, chaise longue, corner elements, pouf and additional armrests-designed to offer endless compositional possibilities and adapt to every living requirement, whether in the home or contract environment.
