Cassina
Dudet Bold is the natural evolution of the original design by Patricia Urquiola for Cassina. A sofa that retains the playful and fluid identity of the first model, reinterpreted in a version with enlarged proportions, designed for large spaces and domestic environments in which the sofa becomes a visual and functional fulcrum.
The designer, known for her ability to blend formal research and material sensitivity, builds a small architecture composed of three upholstered elements: a seat cushion and two tubular elements that, with a continuous gesture, outline the legs, armrests and backrest. The result is a compact yet dynamic form, reminiscent of 1970s design. Completely upholstered, Dudet Bold can be covered in all the fabrics in the catalogue, leaving room for customisation and insertion in different stylistic contexts. The softness of the lines and the visual continuity of the elements create an idea of immediate comfort, while the new size scale makes it suitable for large living rooms, waiting rooms or collective spaces.
Dudet Bold is not just an extension of size, but a careful reinterpretation that confirms Urquiola’s design approach: combining form and function with lightness and rigour.
